Checklist Days

Some days, this year feels like an endless row of checklists, day after day, piling up and spilling off the edge of the desk. Some are for work, some for wedding planning, some for the house, most a little in between.

Something I continually need to remember is that rest belongs on my list as well, along with all the important paperwork and the groceries. There is time for the resting. Maybe that isn't saying much to some of you but for those of you who would like a good option for your checklist, here are some ideas.

Drink a cup of tea. Take a deep breath. Do some yoga or a relaxation exercise. Read a chapter of a book that makes you laugh every time. Spend five minutes in prayer. Have a glass of water. Take extra time to cook something you like for dinner. Take that nap you need. I might do that right now myself.
